SPACYcLOUd is excited to be part of the Finding A Line: Skateboarding, Music, and Media festival at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts!
Giving a fresh opening to a brand new season, the Kennedy Center presents Finding a Line: Skateboarding, Music, and Media, a multi-disciplinary festival that celebrates a vibrant and influential American subculture by highlighting local artists, as well as the creative ties and improvisational elements shared between skateboarding and live music. The initiative distinctively intersects art, skateboarding, community, and play in an open call for cross-genre, artistic activism and civic participation. The festival also engages collaborations with the George Mason University School of Art and the D.C.-based nonprofit Cuba Skate, both of which will actively involve students, artists, musicians, skaters, constituents, and community members in designing, building, and interacting with the newly designed skateboarding and performance space over the weeklong festivities.
