sPACYcLOUd Embraces Wearable Technology!

The world of wearable tech, as we know it, is growing and consistently pushing the existing boundaries between technology and what we wear.

Innovation is at the heart of sPACYcLOUd DNA. We innovate throughout the year thanks to the creative energy of our team. We welcome new ideas because we believe that a break-though doesn't occur in one person's mind, but in the space between two or more people's.

Earlier this year, Danny aka BBoy Atomic Goofball had a vision! Sometimes in the near future he will be entering a room full of people. Lights will be dimmed. Danny will be walking to his favorite song and, all of a sudden, his jacket will light up like a galaxy!

Rico Hawes of WebelowWear had a passion for wearable technology from an early age. Couple of years ago Rico even traveled to Berkeley, CA to attend one of the best wearable technology programs in USA. When Danny shared his vision about the jacket, match was made in heaven! We jumped into work!

It took sPACYcLOUd team three months to find right parts, program the lights, connect all the wires, and sew electronics to the jacket. We made it just in time for BBoy Atomic Goofball's performance!

sPACYcLOUd is all about creativity and playfulness.  Through the process of creation, we gain an incredible amount of joy from learning new technologies, working as a group, and bringing innovative ideas to life.

Thank you to team sPACYcLOUd, BBoy Atomic Goofball, and Rico Hawes of WebelowWear for the inspiration, team work, dedication, and for making our dreams come true.
What is our next project?

Team Rider of the Week: BBoy Atomic Goofball!

Danny "Atomic Goofball" Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American break-dancer from Maryland.
Where to even start? Bboy Atomic Goofball is incredible.

His entire life he has loved and pursued art, especially in conjunction with helping people. Atomic Goofball is here to inspire and uplift free spirits like himself by sharing his art with the world.

Danny did not have a perfect life as a kid, but he had the perfect head on his shoulders to get him where he wanted to go. His family didn't have much money and he didn't have many friends. He felt outcasted by his peers, so he turned to himself for support.
Danny, being Danny, was able to motivate himself by delving into his own imagination rather than outsourcing to those that outcasted him for a good time. He made his own toys and went on his own adventures and didn't think a thing of it.

Later, Danny struggled after being diagnosed with a chest deformity. It struck his confidence for sure, and the others already against him took notice. Bullies used his condition as a weapon against Danny to make him feel worse. "As I grew, so did my challenges. The bullies started to hit harder, and things started to hurt more. As much as I liked to smile, I found it hard to do so."  Though Danny was presented with this negativity from all sides, he never gave up. He pulled through by continuing to motivate himself with his hobbies and talents.
"I promised myself, I will no longer live my life to please others, That I will make a difference, and be the hero I need...and if there was anyone out there who needed help like I did, I would be that help."

Danny really lived though his dancing, and also drawing. His drawings started to be auctioned off to help those in need. Danny would donate his art to be used to help those in less-fortunate countries.
Little by little, Danny's childhood dreams started coming together. Everything he always promised himself was finally happening. He started to get recognized. He was eventually on TV and in movies, meeting celebrities, designing shoes, building award-winning cars, competing and travelling the world dancing, and building a clientele.
In recent times, Danny has accomplished countless achievements. In 2015 he took the titled at Mr. Vietfest in Virginia. Danny was thrilled to be able to encourage other young Vietnamese- American men to strive for excellence and follow their dreams. Danny recently designed a pair of shoes for NFL player Terrel Suggs, Suggs sported the shoes the very next day in his team's first game, and received the game ball.
We are proud of Danny and everything he has overcome and accomplished, and we are very grateful to have him on our team.
